One of the reasons this happens is because they allow sucide pref...which isn't allowed at a lot of schools...but if you make it in...it is sooo worth it...the whole system there struck me as being awesome and huge (come on..the AOPi house has a PARKING GARAGE under it). It's all new and all clean (for the most part) and just beautiful!

...Not sure if you are talking about Indiana University (IU, NOT UI), but if you are talking about IU, some of what you wrote it untrue (unintentionally, I'm sure!)
...The rate of acceptance is slightly higher than 50% ... we do allow suicide pref, but it is not recommended, and steps have been taken to discourage suicide prefing ... also, the AOPi house does not have a parking garage under it--not sure where that one came from. (Actually, AOPi was kicked of campus a few years back, and they are just now getting started up again...I think they are currently unhoused.) The Pi Beta Phi house does have a parking garage BEHIND it, but the garage is owned by the University, and PiPhi has no special priviledges in the garage.
I think that IU's rush (like LSUs and SMUs, etc) sometimes gets a bad rap... just wanted to keep to the facts.
