I know within my sorority, there are definite "rules" that go against (obviously) wearing your nalia while drinking, etc. I know when I crossed it was also "suggested" that whenever representing DST, whether wearing nalia or not, to always behave appropriately. I think different people have different ideas as to what "appropriate" actually is. I have seen people of ALL BGLO's do calls and perhaps stroll at parties and I KNOW I saw them earlier with a drink in their hand. I don't think that is a problem. If the person is falling down drunk and burping between Oo-oops, then that is inappropriate. Additionally, it is inappropriate if they are strolling/ doing calls with an Old English 40 oz. bottle in hand (exaggerating, of course but you get the picture). Bottom line to remember is to ALWAYS try and uphold the standards of your organization (one of which is NOT drinking)... so if one MUST drink, discretion is the key. Who would want to be known as "the sorority that is ALWAYS faded," or "you know the Delta's....they wear red and white...you know they are always faded and loud and stuff." No one should/would want that type of reputation. Especially in a sorority where drinking, etc., is seen as (pretty much) unbecoming of a young lady I have seen my frat "BE OOOOOUUUTTT" from time to time, but that's another topic

Just my $19.13.
