I really liked this book! From the beginning to the end, especially when the main character had the friendship with the black woman...interesting. However I do agree that it ended with little fanfare. I didn't think that was how it was going to turn out.
Another Oprah book (lol) that I thought was good was
We Were the Mulvaneys by Joyce Carol Oates. Another one that I finished reading over the summer was Lalita Tademy's
Cane River...that I definitely recommend.
