Ouch! Hope you weren't too hung over

Good thing you have someone to take care of you.
I'm lucky enough to have never gotten sick from drinking, but I think this is mainly because I never mix my drinks... if I start with beer, I stick with beer for the evening. I also have a high tolerance for alcohol... I can drink my husband under the table, and he weighs a lot more than I do!
A couple of friends and I once went to a fraternity party, where one of my friends decided she wanted a Long Island Iced Tea. The pledge tending bar had no clue how to make one, and asked "What's in it?" She said, "Rum." He picked up the bottle of rum, there was a little over a shot's worth in it (more like 2 shots' worth), so he dumped the whole thing into the glass. She said "Y'know, there are several more alcoholic ingredients..." By the time all the alcohol was added, the 16 oz glass was almost full!

Now, this girl weighed about 90 lbs, and we'd already had a few drinks, so we suggested she just take a few sips and abandon it, but she wouldn't - "How often do you get free booze?" (a logical argument

) So my other friend and I, knowing she'd be sick if she drank the whole thing, took generous sips of her drink ourselves. 2am, the party ends, the fraternity guys kick us out, so she swigs the last 2-3 oz of the drink, and we stagger back to our dorm. She was sick... and I learned that it is surprisingly difficult to take care of a sick person when you yourself are plastered... but we managed to clean her up and get her to sleep before going to sleep ourselves. From then on, we never let her have a Long Island Iced Tea
