This may sound a little mushy, but here's my take on it.
It's kind of like meeting the guy of your dreams..when you first date you are in such a whirlwind of giddy emotion, you are 'in love' but later, as you get to know one another the giddiness goes away and is replaced by a strong, stable feeling of caring - you 'love' each other. That's the way I look at it - the caring you are shown as a new member is much different than later on in your chapter life. Neither is better than the other - they are just natural progressions of the emotional bonds you make with your sisters.
