Excellent point JAM.
Reminds me of something I read somewhere once. It said something about how everyone that passes through our lives is here to teach us something and we are meant to learn and grow through these people. Sometimes, we will have learned all we can from each other and these people will pass away from us as a natural progression of life. If we look at it this way, we don't simply lose friends so much as we gain knowledge and continue on to new experiences.
I'm sure I messed up the wording of that and I REALLY wish I could remember where it originally came from. Anway, it's a beautiful way to look at things and has really helped me through some similar situations.
