Appalachian State: need recs??
DD will be going through recruitment as a freshman this fall. I'm getting conflicting info on whether recs are necessary. Official school line says not necessary, but I've heard otherwise via scuttlebutt. What are advantages/disadvantages to having recs where they are not "necessary"? Will having recs put dd at a disadvantage if they are not the norm? Anyone have any experience with recruitment at this school?
