Ah..my affair with meat.
I was actually vegan for over 2 years in high school, but I ended up with defficiencies of all sorts. You can easily avoid this, but I traveled the entire summer all over Europe and was only eating bread and fruit. I lost too much weight and had major iron problems.
My mother really never cooked any red meat when i was growing up so I never grew accustomed to it. I haven't eaten a burger or any other type of red meat since I was probably 8. I refuse to eat shell fish and can't palate most sea food period. Isn't that awful? I must be the worst date!
So I stick to turkey and chicken (white meat only). It's really very easy. And I highly doubt my body produces the proper enzymes to break down red meat any more any way.
If you do enjoy your burgers, I reccommend Boca burgers. They taste incredibly and are really very healthy.
