ok here is my thing.
I go to a school that still is old school greek. yea my chapter tries to follow the 5 million mandates and we do follow most, but the drinking gets past (though some sisters don't like it). We don't haze, though that makes bonding such a pain in the backside. for example: we can't go to off campus parties w/pledges cause we might be forcing them, we can't do scavenger hunts with out this huge list of thing to follow ie no cars, actives have to be everywhere, no entering frat houses etc and national doesn't want us to even do womething like that. But we also seee every other greek hazing. drinking game-pledge review; bra and panties parade; naked runs at midnight. it is all around us and we are anal even though we break all these rules. so...i guess old- everything was equal; local and national; NPC and IFC you don't have these issues the way you do now. Try to explain why we can't have a co-ed cob rush event...people look at us like we just landed from mars.
i think i'm rambling... oh well
old- less rules and less stress. i hate this lawsuit sue era that we are in. augh!
