BP is definately hook up central. WHen I got on not too longa ago, I set up a page, but I didn't get all up in the other stuff beacause what I COULD get into was whack, and the rest took too long. I hate it when bamas send you a note, and this is what it looks like:

WTF is that about LOL!!! I can't stand that mess. I had to fill out the stupid dating thing just so they'd leave me alone. My page is one of the few on BP with some substance, but without personal pictures, so I don't have that many things in my guestbook LOL. I mean is it a rule I gotta put a pic on my page? Most people just scan pages, and if there is no pic, they keep on going. That is retarded. Those folks need prayer. LOL And they forever messin up my page, talkin bout they "updating the system". I had more luck on Mi Gente, the latin BP, where some of my sorors have pages. Its faster, and the notes light actually goes out when you finish reading them.
As a suggestion to the original question, I suggest some sort of chat and instant messaging, that's a hot feature. I know people at some jobs can't open yahoo or aol, so having an IM medium on a site is cool for those people who are delinquents at work ( I know lots!!!) Also, a forums section with moderators that keep it clean and keep topics up when it gets slow. A Resource page with links to all kinds of stuff, with a section for memberes to make suggestions of links. And dating stuff is cool and all, but make sure its an option, not mandatory like BP.
