ADPi Diamond sister gifts.

The best thing I gave to my Diamond Sister was a scrapbook of her first months with ADPi.
I started the scrapbook with Rush pictures, all the "behind the scenes" pictures of ADPi each night. Then it went onto Bid Day, the first Pride event, etc... I included everything, studying in the library, eating lunch with the chapter...all of that.
I gave her the whole thing at the end of Diamond Days. She loved it.
My good friend in my chapter even went a step further and made videotape for her Diamond sis. She taped actives before rush parties talking about how nervous they were and then taped Bid Day etc... The entire semester she had her camera everywhere we went...it was an amazing gift but I don't think I could do that. Carrying a little 35mm camera was much easier thing for me to do.

One year we tried to do theme gifts, for the 4 points of the badge; sisterhood, philanthropy, social and scholarship. That was actually really fun but kind of hard to think of original things for each point.
For sisterhood I gave framed photos of Diamond and I together.
For the philanthropy gift I made a donation to Ronald McDonald House in her name and I gave her those McDonald’s cookies.
To represent social, I gave her a gift certificate for a manicure (for a night out on the town--the true reason was because she just loved getting manicures).
The scholarship gift was The Complete Works of William Shakespeare (she was an English major with a concentration in Shakespeare).
They weren't all ADPi themed with violets and such, but they were fun gifts to give and get.

The other cute idea I heard from my friend at another chapter is they do ADPi "time capsules" for each other. They burn CDs with popular songs, and create theses cute "top ten lists" of movies, TV shows etc... So when they graduate they can look back and listen to what was popular while they were in college. They put everything they gather into those wooden boxes you can buy at craft stores which they paint blue and white.
It's also a great thing to do for seniors who will be graduating!

Good luck coming up with ideas, it's such a fun part of the Diamond sister relationship!
