We did similar stuff at my school, but with the pledge manuals. It doesn't really seem to go on much anymore. I remember when I was pledging, one of my pledge sisters left her backpack unattended in the library and one of our own sisters took her pledge book. She freaked out!!! That sister taught her not to leave her pledge manual unattended
But all of that is hazing, even though it can be fun.
