I was having this conversation with a guy and he suggested Wagner's
Ride of the Valkyries (the song played when Lt. Col. Kilgore's troops attack in
Apocalypse Now, as in, "I love the smell of Napalm in the morning... it smells like victory.") I suggested that this piece was more likely what a guy might listen to in his car on his way over to the girl's house if he knew he was gonna get laid.
A poll of my freshman year dorm showed that the number one choice for lovemaking music was the
Braveheart soundtrack.
Oddly enough, that was the music playing on the stereo when my virginity and I parted company.
