Well, I want to commend you for thinking about it and not just jumping into anything. Being a part of a non-NPC sorority is hard if that sorority is JUST at that campus or in that area, especially if you plan to move away. In my sorority, I am the only one at my school, but my chapter is based about an hour away, so its not far, and we all keep in touch through email and phone calls. I'm closer with my soror is South Carolina than I am with the ones near me, so I guess it just depends on the particular locals you have. But if you want that lifeliong, all over sisterhood that a national can give you, I say wait until you transfer. But still check out the locals like KappaKittyKat suggested, you never know, they may be for you, and you could always start a chapter at OU!!!
