rush really isn't as bad or scary as it might seem. the first party she attends will be scary because she won't know what to expect... but they're pretty much run the same way at every house, and once she gets into her groove, it's (almost) fun. even if she's truly shy, rush is a time to bring out your cheesy side. you HAVE to make a good first impression. smile a lot, be pleasant, don't be fake. act like you'd love to be a member of their house, and don't talk about other sororities. shy people get into sororities all the time. it's not really a matter of being shy, but of how a girl presents and carries herself. if she comes across as aloof and cold, even though she really isn't once you get to know her... that's not really good enough. the sisters simply don't have time to get to know her in one short week of rush.
