ALL stories that start with "what had happened was" is a load of crap, I thought to myself.
I'll try to give this one a chance.
"What had happened was that I was a few months late on my child support. The court told me that they would start tapping into my paycheck if I didn't come up with the money. Since I had lied to judge about how much I made a week, I couldn't let them hit me up because I would have to pay more. That's why I didn't turn in your rent money. I had to give it to my baby's momma."
I looked at this clown and yelled, "I almost got EVICTED today! I had the note stuck to my door!Why didn't you tell me sooner?! My stuff was about to be kicked to the curb... just like you are about to be!"
As soon as the words had left my mouth....
