KerrieMarrie,

I think I get you . . .

In this case, with posts on GC, I thought it was more on the line of: there was this one Black person in the room and I would never date a black person . . . Why is this black guy hitting on me . . . although people don't say that much anymore (out loud) they often are thinking it unconsciously. But its an acceptable personal preference. . just not PC to say out loud . . . LOL

Age is one of the last things we can be a little mean about in this PC world . . .

We sit back amazed at some old guy with some much younger hottie on his arm, and usually its some "sketchy" older guy meaning, unattatractive . . . we usually figure he has money.

Although we don't tend to blink an eye if the much younger girl is with a really good looking older man . . . Odd double standard.

But I see what you mean . . . if some girl that is kind of over the hill, say pushing 30ish . . or gulp older, is really talking to us younger guys, we kind of laugh and smile and think she just wants to get laid . . . She is just sleazy I guess. Its like, what is she thinking?

But honestly we say the same thing if she "looks old" like wrinkles and stuff . . . or is overweight . . . out of shape . . . or just plain unattractive . . . sleazy for talking to us. What is she thinking?

Here is another wierd double standard . . .

If. . . she looks younger and is hot (nice face, sweet body etc). Then she is just another girl . . . and we no longer think about the age difference . . . Good looks is a great equalizer isn't it?
LOL.

So anyway I think I understand you, in the case of girls still in college, they think that older guys talking to them is sleazy . . . regardless of hoow good looking, young looking, good talker, the guy might be . . . which is cool because that means more girls for us! LOL

But damn, why are so many college girls I know going out with older guys? Its the money right? Or at least that is what we assume . . . why else would a girl want to deal with sleeze?

I don't think that's what anyone was saying - but as any college woman knows, there are always sleazy older guys hanging around clubs and bars trying to pick up chicks that are 10 years younger than them. I see it all the time, at every club I've ever gone to.

At the first fraternity party that I ever went to, I was talking to this guy who wanted to know when I graduated. I assumed he meant high school graduation, so I told him that I graduated in 1999. He told me he had graduated in 1994. Later in the conversation, I realized that he meant he had graduated from COLLEGE in 1994. He wasn't at the party to reunite with his old brothers, or to help out his fraternity, or anything of the like. He was there to find a chick.

I think situations like that cause statements like "He's sketch, he's twenty eight", not age discrimination.
