I have always sat on the front row in all my classes, and I think it helps quite a bit! If I sit in the back, I feel like the teacher can't see me as well, so I can just let my mind wander. When I sit in the front I feel like the professor is watching me and it makes me want to pay more attention. Stupid, but it works.
