My group informs the local alumnae via a snail mail letter and notification to the local alumnae president, if there is one. If the school allows, they may attend. Otherwise, no, they may not. If the presentation team wants some local alumnae there at the presentation such as national officers who may not be on the presentation team, alumnae president, etc, they will individually invite them. I've attended several as I have been very active as an alum. Each was different because they were on vastly different campuses.
