I'm a few days late on this; but, I wanted to honor my brother here...your brother, too.
Last week, Cincinnati Firefighter/Fire Apparatus Operator Daryl Gordon died in the line of duty when he fell down an elevator shaft as he was attempting to search for, and rescue, occupants of an apartment building on fire.
The news article indicates that Daryl was a Kappa Alpha Psi and his brothers held a special memorial for him. I am obviously not a Kappa Alpha Psi; but, as a Fire Captain myself, all firefighters from all departments are my family. My condolences to the Gordon family, Cincinnati FD family and Kappa Alpha Psi.
