UGA: Gunshot Fired -- "Altercation" between Tau Kappa Epsilon and Pi Kappa ALpha

Hello, LaneSig and others,
This recent story, unfortunately, is not likely to improve the public image of fraternities.

Excerpt – in quotes – from article ^^:

“A gun was fired on the University of Georgia campus early Sunday morning during an altercation between two UGA fraternities.

No one was injured during the altercation between members of the Pi Kappa Alpha and Tau Kappa Epsilon fraternities . . . .”

Please see the article for more information; police have identified the shooter. The gun was reportedly fired from the Teke house. Reportedly the gun was fired into the air, although before the shot was fired, the gun had been pointed at members of the "rival" fraternity.

(Also: the article happens to use the term "frat." But, ahem, you know, it probably isn't the right time to object to the word as being disparaging.)
