It will be a bit awkward, being on a floor where no one can talk to you until rush is over... but AXOprincess is right, school and rush will keep you pretty busy.

Try to find out if there are other freshmen on the greek floors, and get to know them - they're in the same situation you are in. You may make some friends, and if nothing else, it will make it easier to arrange room swaps if, say, you join SSS and a girl on the SSS floor joins AOII.

Say hi to people on the AOII floor... they probably won't be able to say more than "hi" back, but don't ignore them because they can't talk to you... even if AOII cuts you or you cut them.
