My chapter just got our first house and have one room completely open luckily enough recruitment is before school starts so if we have independents in the house they will not be there long before recruitment (only 1 day) and I know we have agreed that
the worst that could happen was so happened to a girl that bid my sorority who was living in another house on campus and that house dropped her after the 2nd day and treated her like crap when she bid our chapter.... fortunately res life had here moved into a new dorm 2 days later
But that was an extreme case I wish the best for you and hope you find that chapter that fits you best!
