I'm sure that you know of the possible risks, but have you thought about what you'd do or have to do should something go wrong and you have to go to into a hospital? A country where you don't know the language, where the standards of care may vary from anything you've ever experienced, possibly alone and no one to help make decisions should you be unable to make them for yourself?
In addition, you would not have access to the service provider after you leave; what if you needed an adjustment or had later complications (like the filling fell out or your bite was misaligned)? Would you have access to your records (in English, no less) and have a report of exactly what was done?
I've spent a lot of time in hospitals and have had many procedures and cannot imagine having to go through that in a foreign place.
I agree, that unless it's something experimental, you'd have to accept a huge possibility of risks. I know that dental work can be extremely expensive (I have a friend who is facing about $50k when it's all done), but I would try every possible outlet (medical loans, medical credit card, payment plans, even crowd funding) before heading to a 2nd or 3rd world country for medical care of any sort (unless it was something experimental and my "last shot" at life).
If you DO do this, please, research and get first-person recommendations for everything, from your travel plans (including even small details like public transportation), exact names of doctors, procedures, medications and anesthetics used, recovery time, etc., a translator to accompany you, etc. If you don't know this info first-hand, FIND someone who has been there and done it (don't just rely on "my friend's mom did it" and leave it at that).
