I haven't read all the coverage but has it been determined that Hoke knew the kid was concussed, or for that matter had re-taken the field?

Football sidelines are chaotic spaces -- head coach, offensive/defensive coordinators (in the booth), position coaches, players -- all in real-time, pressure-filled back-and-forth conversations in the headsets during the game.

Medical personnel rule, as they should. Had the medical declaration been conveyed up the coaching chain of command? At the very least, the player's helmet should have been taken away, preventing him from re-entering the game.

Not placing blame because I don't know what happened. Ultimately, it's on Hoke, but a lot of things could have taken place.
