Maybe, though I'd rarely rely on what I read in an unofficial website or source. Perhaps my memory is muddled and I'm confusing this with stories like the name Alpha Chi Omega being chosen because the founders thought it might be the "first and (Greek:
kai) last" music sorority. I'll keep wracking my brain. Or perhaps I'm remembering a group or two that started with one name based on an English name or phrase, but later changed to a different name.
But in any event, I don't find it unthinkable at all that a GLO might chose letters based on an English phrase or English words and not shy away from telling outsiders about it, while at the same time the letters have deeper meaning known only to members.
