First, let your daughter enjoy her NM period before jumping in to help. Let her establish herself among her new sisters without "mom" being involved.
Most likely the chapter has a parents or mothers weekend during the year. This will be a great time for you to get to know more of the women in the chapter and learn how open they are to parental support.
Honestly, it'll vary between chapters and schools. One group may not only openly welcome but downright expect parental support. Another might have zero clue what to do with such an offer and may say no thanks.
