My best friend lives in Harlem so I go there frequently. I think people have covered a lot of what I was going to say. If you are a hoops fan you HAVE to go to Madison Square Garden. I second the recommendation for the Natural History Museum as well. There is such cool stuff in Central Park. Sorry if I repeated anything!

Some restaurants I recommend:
Amy Ruth's (Soul Food) Their chicken and waffles are everything (Harlem)
Dallas BBQ (Multiple Locations)
Gyu-Kaku (Japanese BBQ) You actually cook your own food at your table. My best friend worked there for awhile. So delish! (Multiple Locations)

Only negative thing I'll say is...Make sure you keep up with the news about bedbugs on certain trains if you use it for transportation!
