People made the conscious decision to go and buy a pack a day or whatever and died from it... Did they expect not to have repercussions for their decisions? Did they not know it was harmful? BS!
little bit different situation here. cigarettes are cancerous and deadly. and yah, being obese isn't exactly healthy either. but my guess is the number of people who die everywhere from being obese as a direct result to injesting vast amounts of mcdonald's is probably not anywhere near the number of people who die worldwide of cancer as a direct result of smoking cigarettes.

you can not get physically addicted to a big mac. some people are addicted to eating, yes. studies have show that. but unless big macs are laced with addictive additives which make their patrons NEED A BIG MAC, and Big Macs get proven to be lethal, well, I don't think the laywers will be able to use cigarette cases as precedents.
