I had a client who was the sweetest guy but had serious violent and aggressive thoughts toward women. I had to transfer him to the only male therapist on staff because none of the women felt safe (and probably wouldn't have gotten anywhere in therapy with him). It's so disturbing and yet, the part of me that's interested in how the mind works can't help but wonder how it all started and he got to this point.
