And for those who actually care about the original purpose of this thread, I also found the Willard Society which was founded at Nebraska Wesleyan University in 1889 and that organization is still going strong. I'm not sure, however, if it is structured like a GLO. I think it may be.

Also I suspect that maybe women's fraternities were founded when women were allowed to enter into college. So perhaps many teacher's colleges had women's social organizations.

I suppose I have answered my own question. I don't know why some of you are just waiting to attack all the time. This site is pretty hostile a lot of times. The original question was misunderstood and people just went their way with it.
It's still later than Adelphean Society and according to the MacMurray website, they are a social Service organization. They may not function on the same level as a regular sorority. Their dues are $70. It's hard to judge what "going strong" means without a website to see what they actually do. I'm impressed by their longevity, but why start a whole thread about a group when you have so little information about them?
