If you think this thread is a waste of time don't reply to it or read it.

And I did mean Phi Nu. Founded at MacMurray College in 1853. The local is still going strong.

And for those who actually care about the original purpose of this thread, I also found the Willard Society which was founded at Nebraska Wesleyan University in 1889 and that organization is still going strong. I'm not sure, however, if it is structured like a GLO. I think it may be.

Also I suspect that maybe women's fraternities were founded when women were allowed to enter into college. So perhaps many teacher's colleges had women's social organizations.

I suppose I have answered my own question. I don't know why some of you are just waiting to attack all the time. This site is pretty hostile a lot of times. The original question was misunderstood and people just went their way with it.
