While I liked AXD's pref ceremony, and felt very at home there, it was really more what the other two pref ceremonies didn't do for me.
One other chapter, my third choice going into the party, just had a ceremony that didn't seem to mean anything to me. I've heard other girls say the same thing. Obviously it works for some people, but I was like, oooohhhhkayyy.
Another chapter that I liked very well managed to turn me off very much by the ceremony. We were standing in a circle and then we had to walk up to the front of the room with the sister we were with, a pair at a time. Well the room was dead silent, and we were on this wooden floor, so I'm feeling so self-conscious as I go click-click across the floor, and I know everyone is looking at me. I felt like a calf at the fair, "Let's check her out one more time before we decide if we want to buy her or not." In retrospect, that was not the purpose of it, but I felt so uncomfortable.
