Perhaps that also applies to this "large fish" thing. If there were ways to get these "large fish" in safe habitats and still allow humans to access them and enjoy them, would it still be cause for alarm? If the overarching issue is that humans need to leave these "large fish" the hell alone (most animals don't want to be bothered) then the same could possibly be applied to humans going to the ocean for things like deep sea diving and fisher boats that go far beyond the shore.
