Well, like I said, I love the ocean. Especially the Pacific. Loved my four years at UCSB. Love flying across the Pacific to Asia, walking on the coast, sailing. To each her own!
It's a metaphysical thing for me - being part of something much greater that cannot be seen. Never thought about an escape plan.
I do not anthropomorphize animals either. Tilikum weighs ~ 12,000 pounds. It is very difficult to grasp the size and power when you are seeing those orcas on a television screen.
