The numbers of applications to the pubic universities in Virginia is enormous. First, it became exceptionally difficult to be admitted to UVa, W&M and Virginia Tech. Then demand at JMU and GMU exploded. This has caused newer institutions, such as CNU, to become enormously popular, as are out of state schools. More demand than capacity.
