Well, there is talk of possibly moving all the greek life to Kennesaw, in which case, Gamma Phi would merge, but Alpha Xi Delta would have to basically "transfer" (for lack of a better word) their chapter to Kennesaw and get up to total, because total is obviously vastly different at both schools. If Alpha Xi did transfer to Kennesaw, it would probably impact the timeline for Zeta's expansion.
ETA: It's still up in the air, from what I hear, but yes, I suppose they could just remain separate panhellenics, but I believe the thinking is that it would be more beneficial for the Southern Poly chapters to merge.
