Here is another question. In Kappa Delta, all pledges (I'm sorry, when I was in college they were pledges and I just can't change wha tI call them!) and sisters were to stand upon an Alumna entering the room. Now, I see no problem with this at all, it is a display of respect for those who came before you (much like in the military, how they salute). However, might some see this as hazing?

I don't see that as hazing. I see that as a sign of respect for the sisters that have come before you.
