The release rate was even worse this year...20 women, with a smaller number of PNMs. Last year 17 women were released the night before Pref...my daughter believed this to be accurate because her suite mate and a couple other friends were told this when the Greek Life office called with the bad news.
Every chapter has been making quota for a few years now. It's at the point where everyone is being more selective.
In good news, two of my daughter's friends who were released last year did get bids this year! A girl who turned down her bid and tried again did not.
