I am very active with the Federation of Republican Women and have attended numerous Tea Party events with friends. These events have always had multiple races/ethnicities present, and I personally know that several of the attendees are homosexuals. I have NEVER heard anyone at any of these meetings (even private closed-door meetings) say that they would like to bring back Jim Crow nor advocate for abusing women. In fact, what I am hearing is that they would like for everyone to be treated with respect, INCLUDING Christians. The issues I am involved in, and that I have heard discussed, are not about race or religion, or even morals or ethics. But about making our communities better places for everyone.
