I currently have braids also and paid about $150.00. This was because I have very short hair (coming out of being, literally, BALD) so it was a lot of work.
My Sands' mom is getting micro-mini braids next week and paying $700.00. I was like daaayyyyum!
I think it depends on where you are geographically, as well as whether it is in ashop or sitting on someone's living room floor.
All and all I am in msiery just because I haven't had hair for like 6 years, but I am getting used to them. I do enjoy being able to do "things" with my hair but it is taking some getting used to.
