I feel weird when I have bags from one grocery store and I'm at a different one- so I don't use my Kroger re-usable bags at Walmart, for example. Usually, when I get home from shopping, I carry in a few things, grab those bags and then put all the little plastic flimsy bags into them. I know that's a fail, but then I re-use the plastic ones as I mentioned, to reduced my guilt.
Agree about the reusable bags, and if you're not shopping for much, you don't need a cart or basket. The trick is remembering to put them back in my car so I have them at the store.
