Sorry, but it takes time. Just because chapters have given out some bids recently doesn't mean you know the whole story. Having gone through and gotten cut because of grades means they're not going to look at you until you have different grades. Work your tail off to make sure you have EXCELLENT grades, and don't expect any information about informal until the spring. If you go back to school on, say, January 10th, expect informal rush events to start happening around February 1st. Stay friendly with all of your sorority women friends and express interest without being creepy. You'll get there. And I think you know the result of being too good for certain chapters. Be open to ALL of your options. And good luck!
