when Sigma Gamma Rho was founded (as well as the other BGLOs) it was a time of great racial tension.
however, our sorority was not created to exclude any races and nowhere is it stated that Sigma Gamma Rho is for blacke women only.
yes, the divine nine is majority African-Americans. just like other organizations that were created for the advancement and uplifting of our people.
but that is not to say that other races should not be allowed to join. any one who is for helping out people in general should do what they feel they need to do.
our pupose as a sorority is not to "diverse into other races"
it's all about service.
if we diverse into other races along the way, then that is fine with me.
