Another reason to go Greek

You can study hard and get excellent grades for four years and never come close to the things you can learn in a few short months in a fraternity (or sorority).

For one thing, no college class in the world can teach you how to motivate people like having a leadership position in a fraternity can. What's more, fraternity leaders can't dangle a fat paycheck to help induce motivation. It's not just the chapter president learning these skills, either. Everyone from the scholarship and philanthropy chairmen to the intramural coach has to figure out how to get people to show up on time, cooperate enough to get something accomplished, prevent distractions from ruining progress, make sure they have any needed equipment, manage their slice of the budget, the works. And if they don't get the job done right, the people that tell them they screwed up are their friends and brothers (or sisters), not their bosses or professors.

You don't learn these skills in class or the dorm. You might be able to learn these skills on the job, but what an advantage it is to learn them in college!
