**Stars** in my eyes
When I went through, I was so impressed with one group, I hardly remembered the others.
Then, on the night before the last pref party, they had very fancy skits. As I was waiting to go into my **STAR** chapter, one of the sophomores in the group remarked that the chapter did a really good job of making each and every one of the PNM feel soooo welcome, it was almost criminal. Because less than half wouldn't make it to the next round. Many of the PNM would drop out of Rush altogether because of the rejection they were going to get. This was irritating the other chapters because it usually dropped quota by several girls.
I was stunned! WHAT IF I DIDN'T GET A BID FROM THEM!!
I thought over the other groups in my head, but because I thought I was such a perfect fit, I hadn't paid much attention to the other groups! Well, I made up for that! I carefully analysed all the groups, and felt that I probably did belong in a different one!
When I got my list of invitations the next day, guess what - - NOT on my **STAR** group's list. Yup, cut! Sooooo glad I had been a better attendee at the rest of my parties!
My final two parties were the best, I felt loved and appreciated by both chapters.
Good news is that the group I chose was the best for me!!
My roomie got a bid from the **STAR** group - but, she de-pledged after only 2 weeks. I found out that they would habitually lose girls before initiation because they lost steam in forming friendships and felt that if you got a bid, you should feel privileged.
