Is it just me or is Grace is Gone a little quick and jazzy given what the song is about? I love it, of course, but if you listen to the words, and then jam to the music, you realize something is a little off.

Granted, I have a feeling it might have something to do with the fact that part of the reason the LWS were scrapped in the first place was because of the persistent morbidity throughout the songs. I guess this was a way of maintaining the lyrics while making it a little bit less despressing....I dunno.

And I listened to Grey Street again...still one of my faves. I remember it being so much more full of angst on the LWS. Dave did so much more of his characteristic moaning and groaning (you know what I'm talking about!) in the LWS version. Can't decide which version I prefer...

As for Cory's comment... common dude...do you notice a wee trend? We women love dave. It's not an issue of obsession, it's an issue of us all loving him. If you were as into him as we are, I'd be a bit concerned. But don't deny us our right to drool! Sheesh!
