I just got back from my second night of parties! Tonight I visited Hulk, Superman,Batman, and Spiderman.
First up was Hulk. I had to leave before I could get to this house on tour night, so I really had no idea what to expect. These girls were so easy to talk to! They seemed really passionate about volunteering and their philanthropy, which is a large part of why I decided to go Greek. I can definitely see myself being a sister of this chapter.
Superman was next. Based on house tours, I've already developed a bit of a "rush crush" on this chapter. These girls were okay. I hit it off really well with the girls I talked to, but I didn't really pick up yet on a strong sense of sisterhood/philanthropy interest. I want to learn more about this chapter.
Next was Batman. Oh my gosh, I am in love with this chapter! I felt such a strong connection with every girl I talked to. Not only do I feel such a close vibe with the sisterhood of this chapter, I also had so much in common with them on a personal level. This was the first party I felt that I could truly be an open book with the girls I was talking to. I almost cried when I left because I didn't want to leave. This chapter already feels like it could be my home.
Spiderman was the last house of the night. This chapter is the newest one on campus, they just chartered in the last year or so. I didn't really feel comfortable around these girls. They seemed to have good intentions, but I felt like they were a lot more interested in talking about themselves than they were about getting to know me and informing me about their sisterhood. I don't see myself feeling at home in this chapter.
At the end of the night, I had to write down the top five sororities in no particular order, but rank my bottom three in preference order. My list was:
1. Batman
2. Captain America
3. Hulk
4. Superman
5. Green Lantern
Bottom 3:
1. Iron Man
2. Spiderman
3. Thor
If I don't get invited back to any philanthropy night, I'll find out tomorrow morning. If I do, I'll try to post about the parties tomorrow night, but it will probably end up being Saturday morning.
