So, while I am sure there are some people who will have problems each and every time they donate, it's also possible to have a one-off type of situation. If the first time I had donated had been the time I passed out, I doubt I'd be very keen on trying again! But, just wanted to throw it out there that just because you pass out once, doesn't mean you will pass out every time.

To be honest with you, I'm not even sure I weigh enough to donate blood. And again, I would do it if I didn't pass out or get sick every time I have blood drawn. I just don't do well with such things. Even if physically I was ok, mentally I can't handle it. I'm fine with shots.. but seeing, or even thinking about blood being drawn from my arm just knocks me out.
I will agree, though, that for some people, it's just a one time incident.
