^^^ Sending lots of prayers.
My husband had tooth #18 (not the wisdom tooth, but the tooth next to it that was being damaged by the encroaching wisdom tooth) extracted on Thursday. I drove him to the oral surgeon's office. There was a door between the waiting room and the surgical suite, but I could still clearly hear the drill ... and I know what it's like to be on the receiving end of that drill.
He stayed home from work on Friday, and slept in all weekend (he didn't wake up today until 1:30pm, which is very unlike him). He has hydrocodone for the pain, and he's been taking quite a bit of it. He has not stopped drinking alcohol, even though it's contraindicated with codeine (don't start me).
So he could use some prayers ...
And so could my father. He's still having a lot of trouble dealing with the loss of his wife (they would have celebrated their 48th anniversary this month) and he has his own health problems to work through. He has back problems and has fallen many times - I can't convince him to wear his "I've fallen and I can't get up" pendant, but at least I've convinced him to carry his damn cell phone whenever he goes out.
